The Swiss NextGen API is the adapted version of Berlin Group’s NextGenPSD2 XS2A Framework.  It offers a modern, open, harmonised and interoperable set of application programming interfaces (APIs) and enables the exchange of account information, the initiation of payments for the relevant Swiss payment types and the confirmation of funds. The Framework reduces XS2A complexity and costs and enables banking customers to benefit from innovative products and services by granting TPPs safe and secure (authenticated and authorised) access to their bank accounts and financial data.

Due to the minimal deviation from the Berlin Group specification, a large number of European solutions can be easily and efficiently connected and, conversely, it offers Swiss companies the opportunity to position themselves in the European market. Further developments of the Berlin Group will be integrated promptly.

The Swiss Domestic Payment Definitions are adapted from the SIX Swiss Payment Standard and verified by our community. The Swiss Next Gen API can be tested on our Sandbox. We will be happy to examine your suggestions for further development.
